Reception Admissions

Appeals Timetable

Year 1 -6 Admissions

If you have recently moved to the area or would like more information about your child coming to Herons’ Moor Academy, joining later than the September reception intake, or for years 1-6, please contact the Academy.

Nursery Admissions

You can apply from when your child is 2 years and 36 weeks old.

You can apply outside of these recommended dates but you might not receive your code in time. You must have a valid code by the end of the month before a new term starts.

Entitlement

Everybody is entitled to 15 hours of free childcare. However, in line with Government guidance, working parents could be eligible for 30 hours of free childcare.

Your eligibility depends on:

  • if you are working
  • your income (and your partner’s income, if you have one)
  • your child’s age and circumstances
  • your immigration status

If you are not a working parent you will now be able to purchase additional 3 hour sessions alongside your existing 15 hours of care entitlement.

Your Entitlement

Normal morning sessions will be 9.00 a.m.- 12.00 noon, although parents will be able to stay and play from 8.45 a.m.  Afternoon sessions will be 12 noon – 3.00 p.m. 30 hours of childcare would be 9.00am – 3.00pm
