Pupils get creative with clay at Herons’ Moor

It was time for pupils to get their hands dirty in the name of creativity as Year 2 children at Herons’ Moor Academy took part in a special hands-on art experience.
Pupils had the exciting opportunity to work alongside a professional artist, developing their 3D clay modelling skills.
During the session, they were introduced to a range of expert techniques and tips, helping them transform simple clay into impressive works of art.
Throughout the workshop, pupils were fully engaged, showing enthusiasm, curiosity and a willingness to experiment. Their creativity shone through in their finished pieces, which they proudly showcased at the end of the session.
A spokesperson for the academy said: “It was fantastic to see our pupils so inspired and engaged.
“Opportunities like these allow children to explore their creativity in new ways, build confidence, and learn directly from professionals.
“We are incredibly proud of the effort and imagination they demonstrated.”
