Herons’ Moor pupils enjoy adventure filled residential

Pupils from Herons’ Moor Academy had an unforgettable residential visit to Kilve Court Residential Centre in Somerset, where they embraced the great outdoors, challenged themselves, and created lasting memories.

Set between the beautiful Quantock Hills and the Somerset coast, Kilve Court provided the perfect backdrop for a week of adventure, teamwork, and personal development.

Throughout their stay, pupils took part in a wide range of exciting activities designed to build confidence, resilience, and cooperation.

Among the highlights were abseiling, climbing, archery, grass karting, blindfolded obstacle courses, muddy river challenges, team-building exercises, and a scenic three-mile hike through the stunning Somerset countryside. The group also enjoyed a walk to Kilve Beach, where they were thrilled to spot a grass snake in its natural habitat.

The residential experience encouraged pupils to step outside their comfort zones, support one another, and develop valuable life skills, all while having fun and making new friendships.
