Pupils at Herons’ Moor bring ancient Greece to life

Year 6 pupils at Herons’ Moor Academy used their artistic talents by creating their own Greek pots out of clay, painting them in vibrant designs inspired by ancient Greece.

As part of their studies on what life was like in ancient Greece, the activity provided pupils with a hands-on opportunity to explore Greek culture and art.

They delved into traditional patterns and stories often depicted on ancient pottery, discovering how such artifacts offer glimpses into the past.

A spokesperson for Herons’ Moor Academy said: “Pupils absolutely loved this creative project.

“It was amazing to see how they combined their historical learning with artistic expression, creating pots that truly captured the essence of ancient Greece.

“Projects like these make history come alive for our pupils and help deepen their understanding of different cultures and eras.”
