Pupils at Herons’ Moor Academy become designers
This term, Year 5 pupils at Herons’ Moor Academy have stepped into the world of design and engineering.
As part of their learning, the children explored the mechanics of cams, gears, and screws, applying their new-found knowledge to create and evaluate their very own paper windmills.
The project challenged pupils to think creatively and problem-solve when things didn’t go as planned.
Through perseverance and innovation, they successfully brought their designs to life, demonstrating fantastic resilience and ingenuity.
