Herons’ Moor pupils brave the winter chill for a forest adventure

Pupils from Herons’ Moor Academy embraced the frosty weather this week as they ventured into their forest school for an outdoor learning experience.

Despite the biting cold, pupils enthusiastically got hands-on, using sticks and twigs to build their own shelters.

The wintery landscape added an extra layer of excitement to their day as they discovered ice on the grounds, sparking curiosity and wonder about the natural environment.

A spokesperson for the academy said: “The forest school provides an invaluable opportunity for our pupils to connect with nature, develop teamwork skills, and experience the outdoors in all seasons.

“It’s wonderful to see their creativity and resilience shine, even in the chilly conditions.”
