Herons’ Moor Academy pupils turn space explorers
Herons’ Moor Academy’s Year 5 pupils recently embarked on an out-of-this-world adventure, stepping into the roles of space scientists to create their own Mars rover lens cameras.
With vivid imagination, the budding explorers studied simulated Mars landscapes, looking at imaginary robots that track the red planet in search of amazing discoveries.
The project brought the mysteries of Mars to life, combining hands-on science, technology, and creativity.
As pupils constructed their cameras, they learned about the engineering marvels that enable exploration of distant worlds.
Georgie Tinker, Principal of Herons’ Moor Academy, said: “It’s wonderful to see our pupils engaging in such innovative learning experiences.
“Projects like this inspire a sense of wonder and show how science and creativity go hand in hand.
“Watching them imagine themselves as space scientists and engineers is a joy, and it’s clear their enthusiasm for learning knows no bounds.”
