Herons’ Moor Academy pupils step back in time aboard the SS Great Britain

Year 2 pupils from Herons’ Moor Academy had an unforgettable experience as they embarked on a journey through history at the SS Great Britain.

Stepping into the shoes of historians, pupils discovered what life was like in Victorian times and explored the remarkable legacy of engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

During their visit, pupils dressed in authentic Victorian attire, immersing themselves in the past as they explored the iconic ship.

A spokesperson for the academy said: “The children absolutely loved their trip to the SS Great Britain.
