Herons’ Moor Academy pupils excel in bikeability sessions
Year 4 and Year 5 pupils at Herons’ Moor Academy have been actively participating in their Bikeability sessions, developing essential cycling skills and road safety awareness.
The Bikeability programme is designed to equip young cyclists with the confidence and competence to enjoy cycling as a lifelong skill.
Through a series of structured sessions, pupils have learned key techniques, including bike control, signalling, and navigating roads safely.
The training ensures that children gain independence while developing a sense of responsibility and enjoyment in cycling.
A spokesperson from Herons’ Moor Academy said: “Pupils have shown great enthusiasm and commitment throughout their training.
“It’s fantastic to see them developing their cycling skills, gaining confidence on the road, and understanding the importance of safe cycling practices.”
The academy remains committed to promoting health, well-being, and independence through valuable initiatives like Bikeability, ensuring that every child can experience the joy and freedom of cycling with confidence.
