Herons’ Moor Academy embraces Children’s Mental Health Week

Herons’ Moor Academy is placing a strong emphasis on children’s well-being as staff and pupils engage in a week-long focus on Children’s Mental Health Week.

The week began with an inspiring assembly centered on the theme ‘Know yourself, grow yourself’, encouraging pupils to understand and express their emotions openly.

As part of the assembly, pupils were introduced to the book Have You Filled a Bucket Today? which highlights the importance of kindness and how small, positive actions can uplift others.

A spokesperson for the academy said: “We believe that emotional well-being is just as important as academic success.

“By fostering a culture where children feel safe to talk about their feelings and show kindness to one another, we are helping them develop the resilience and empathy needed for life.”
