Past staff and students are invited to return to the classroom when a Weston-super-Mare school celebrates a landmark anniversary this week.
Herons’ Moor Academy, part of the Cabot Learning Federation, is marking its 20th anniversary by inviting ex-pupils, parents, staff and governors to relive their happy school memories at two celebratory open afternoons.
From 4-6pm on September 27 and 29, Herons’ Moor will throw open its doors to welcome all those with a connection to the school to visit and reconnect with past friends.
Visitors will be able to tour the school and enjoy exhibitions of past and present photographs, along with childrens work all about celebration.
If you are an ex-pupil, member of staff or governor, you will be welcomed to visit and talk to staff about your memories of life at Herons’ Moor.
Principal Julie Fox, who has been leading the school since it opened in 2003, said:
“Herons’ Moor opened in 2003 in temporary accommodation on the site in September 2003. In 2004 we moved into The Campus with Baytree School. It has been a privilege to lead Herons’ Moor through the years and watch it grow into the great school it is.”
